Defines terms under which care services are extended:
PRIORITY 1: Double orphans, abandoned children, children with no legal guardian.
PRIORITY 2: Single orphans (surviving parent unable to care due to illness, disability, imprisonment, domestic abuse, or extreme hardship).
PRIORITY 3: Referrals from Local Authorities, Social Services, Courts, Police.
Grounds for Non-Admission: An admission will not proceed if the home cannot safely meet the child's needs, if placement creates unacceptable risk, if lawful authority is lacking, or if safeguarding checks are incomplete
To finalize placement terms, the following verified documents must be supplied:
Birth Certificate (where available) & Parent Death Certificate(s) (where applicable).
Court/Care/Placement Order or Social Worker Referral Report.
Medical & Immunisation Records.Bullet List 4
School Leaving Certificate / Educational History.
Completion of Admission Form (F-02) and Admission Checklist (F-14).
Visitor Register Mandate: All visitors must sign in and out using the Visitor Register (F-12).
Identification & Supervision: Identity checks are compulsory for unknown visitors. Visitors are never left unsupervised with children unless pre-approved by management.
Anti-Bullying Policy: Bullying (physical, verbal, or online) is strictly prohibited. Immediate intervention and recording are mandatory.
Children's Rights Framework: Every resident child has the guaranteed right to safety, dignity, education, healthcare, practice of their faith, and access to a transparent complaints mechanism without fear.
Staff Professional Conduct: Staff must maintain professional boundaries, undergo safer recruitment checks (identity, DBS, background checks), and complete structured inductions prior to unsupervised work.
Governance Oversight: Operational accountability resides with the Registered Manager, under oversight from the Responsible Individual and the Board of Trustees.
Policy Amendments: Manual terms are reviewed annually (Appendix B Schedule). Revisions must be recorded in the official Document Register (Appendix C) and approved by the Board or Registered Manager.
